Cranmore Tower can be accessed by foot via a 1/2 mile (0.8 km) public bridle path off the Old Wells Road. There is a parking area at the start of the stone and gravel track where cars can be parked. The pleasant walk to the Tower through the beautiful deciduous Cranmore woods starts from the car park.
There is no public vehicle access on the track through Cranmore wood. Follow the track down the hill from the car park to the small lake and wooden hut hidden away in the woods. When the track forks, stay right and follow the path along the edge of the woods all the way up to the Tower. This is the quickest path to the Tower and is just over 1/2 mile in length. The path can get muddy in wet conditions and decent, sturdy footwear is recommended.
Parking is available at the Tower itself, however vehicle access is not available through Cranmore Wood. Vehicle access is possible via Furzeclose Lane and a bridle way connecting to the Tower, however it is strongly recommended that visitors park and walk to the Tower (as described above). Furzeclose Lane and the connecting bridle path to the Tower are only passable with 4 x 4.
The nearest A roads are the A361 and A37, brown signs point the way to the Tower.
